Rev. Cecil Williams’s vision for the CW House

Rev. Cecil Williams’s vision for the CW House was to create a quality living environment for the most disenfranchised population in our community. “A Place to Call Home”, Cecil would say. He believed that if you made people feel as if they were worth investing in, that the residents would take pride in their living environment and help take care of it. Rev. William’s vision of inclusiveness is also reflective in the resident population living at CW house. We house those living with HIV/AIDS, addiction, mental illness and low income working families with children. The mixed population is the strength of the CW House, but is also the challenge as we strive to create a safe, quality living environment for everyone.

Because of the diverse population, the CW House’s Resident Support Services Program design is both a clinical and social model. Support Services includes on site case managers, a licensed clinical therapist, a marriage family therapist intern, a nurse practitioner, a harm reduction counselor, a youth advocate and a youth services coordinator. The residents also have access to many of Glide Foundation services including the Health Clinic, Childcare and Youth Services. We also have a licensed Infant Day Care Center on-site.
