Glide’s Dec. 7 Holiday Festival, Celebrating Women: Real Voices for Change, honored Janice Mirikitani for 40 years of work and leadership at Glide.

Peggy Furth of Chalk Hill Winery and the Furth Family Foundation, one of Glide's longtime partners of the Janice Mirikitani Family, Youth, and Childcare Center, introduced Lucinda Ray and  Erica Sheppard. Lucinda and Erica shared their inspiring stories of growing up in Glide's programs.
	Angela Davis, reknowned activist and longtime supporter of Glide, paid special tribute to her mother and Janice Mirikitani, and introduced the featured video presentation of the special women honored by the evening's sponsors.
The Honorable Willie L. Brown, Jr. raised his glass in a special toast to the evening's honoree, Janice Mirikitani.
Amy Errett (Glide's Board Chair), Renel Brooks-Moon (MC of the evening), Willa Seldon (Glide's Chief Executive Officer) and Deborah Alvarez-Rodriguez (Goodwill Industries' Chief Executive Officer) enjoy the evening's festivities.
Irene S. Scully of the Irene S. Scully Family Foundation, one of Glide's partners of the YouthBuild and YouthBuild Scholars programs and 2005 Honoree of the Glide Annual Holiday Festival, introduced Claudia Interiano, Ryisha Campbell, and Josephina Campos. Ryisha, Claudia, and Josephina share their empowering stories of how their lives have changed since they came to Glide's training and education programs.
Brenda Wright, the Senior Vice President and Regional Manager of Wells Fargo Bank, one of the major funders of the Glide/Wells Fargo Drop In Center and the Glide/Wells Fargo Women's Center, introduced Janean Sylvia Reed and Dianna Moore. Janean and Dianna shared their rich experiences of how they turned their lives around through Glide's programs and services.
