The Cecil Williams House provides subsidized housing for a diverse population. Households must meet the income requirements published by the US department of Housing and Urban Development. They must be at or below 35% of the medium income. The target population includes families and individuals who are formerly homeless, living with HIV/AIDs, recovering from addiction. These individuals and families come from the Glide community and the San Francisco Shelter Plus Care referral list, the HOPWA (Housing Opportunities for People With AIDS) Housing Wait list, and Project-based Section 8 Rental Assistance.
