The GLIDE Fund Development Department is looking for an Institutional Giving Manager.

Overview

 

  • Build an Institutional Giving Program by cultivating current funders and volunteers, diversifying giving prospects, creating strategic and targeted proposals and letters of inquiry to support programmatic and unrestricted funding.
  • Identify Bay Area corporations and their philanthropic goals and interests with the potential to support GLIDE programs and help to develop solicitation strategies for those companies. Create and manage the new pipeline of corporate partners by making initial contact (including cold calls!) and ensuring prospects and funders are inspired by GLIDE’s mission and are actively engaged in funding the advancement of GLIDE’s goals.
  • With a Fund Development team, tailor corporate sponsor packages and communication materials.
  • Write, edit, package and send written solicitation and promotional materials to corporate prospects.
  • Assist with the identification of personal connections between potential/actual corporate contributors and staff, Board, volunteers, and donors to ensure the attention of corporate funders.
  • Identify, organize and respond to requests from corporate donors related to requests (such as information about a gift’s impact, positioning at an event, engagement of corporate employees as volunteers, and similar requests).
  • Support the Volunteer Program by advancing links between volunteerism and corporate giving;
  • Lead site visits and contract monitoring visits.

  • You have experience with donor data management systems (Raiser’s Edge) and can easily understand data and generate reports.

The GLIDE Fund Development Department is looking for a Grants Manager.

The Grants Manager supports GLIDE’s institutional fundraising efforts by actively managing grant prospect identification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship activities with private, corporate and government grant makers. In collaboration with the Director of Institutional Giving, this person manages all relationships and communications with current and prospective grant makers and is responsible for developing an annual grant plan and budget to ensure all deadlines for proposals, reports and acknowledgement letters are met in a timely manner by the grant writing team.

 

This person directly manages staff or contract grant writers in the researching, preparation, writing, editing and submission of grant proposals, reports, and other communications in conjunction with the grant makers. This person also assists with the writing and editing of other fund development communications as needed. This person will acquire and maintain sound knowledge and understanding of the organization, its mission, vision, values and goals, and will use that knowledge and understanding to make contact with funders and prospects and cultivate and maintain relationships with private and corporate foundation and government funders.

GLIDE's Fund Development is looking for a Development Associate.

This person helps to maintain GLIDE’s donor database, acknowledges gifts and donations, runs analytical reports, supports projects around systems management, assists with special events, and provides administrative support to the Fund Development Department.

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • BA degree and 5+ years’ database management experience, preferably in a non-profit environment or equivalent combination of education and experience;

  • Advanced skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook);

  • 2+ years’ experience working with Constituent Relationship Management (CRM) systems. Raiser’s Edge experience strongly preferred, but not required;

  • Experience in producing, analyzing and interpreting data;

  • Experience in creating processes around donation processing and donor data management helpful.

GLIDE is currently looking for a TEMPORARY (to July 2013) IT Specialist.

 

The IT Specialist is the primary individual responsible for all Information Technology demands and difficulties, and provides exceptional resolution by giving in-person, hands-on support to helpdesk customers. The IT Specialist is the first individual end-users interact with to solve their IT issues and must have in-depth knowledge and troubleshooting skills. The IT Specialist ensures that the IT department’s Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and customer service approval rates are surpassed by managing all procedures related to identification, prioritization and resolution to include the monitoring, tracking and coordination of Service Desk functions.

 

The IT Specialist is also responsible for analyzing and planning the organization’s service desk functions, according to best practices, while ensuring high levels of customer service quality and availability, and implementing and overseeing policies and procedures that ensure quick resolution and exceeded service levels. This position requires occasional evening and/or weekend work.  

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:


  • High school diploma/GED and extensive application support experience with Microsoft and Mac Operating Systems, and MS Office Suite, including Project and Visio

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a focus on rapport-building, listening and questioning. Ability to present solutions and ideas in user-friendly language.

  • Experience developing and providing SLAs and Service Desk deliverables or an equivalent combination of education and related experience;

  • Understanding of server and network infrastructure with, 1) MS Server, 2) SQL, 3) Exchange, 4) Hyper-V, 5) Cisco Switches, routers, phones;

  • Extensive knowledge on the Windows server environment including Active Directory;

  • Application support experience with, 1) Blackbaud’s Raiser’s/Financial Edge, 2) GE Centricity, 3) Effort to Outcomes, etc., invaluable;

  • Familiarity with regulations concerning IT including HIPAA, PCI, etc., helpful.

GLIDE has a part time (20 hours), temporary (to July) Case Manager opening in the Walk-in Center.

 The Case Manager-Differential Response, is responsible for the case management, counseling, crisis intervention, information and referral, and services linkages for WIC’ clients, including, but not limited to, those referred by SF Human Services Agency for Differential Response. This person collaborates with staff, community partners and service providers to provide a comprehensive system of support, resources and services.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BA degree in Social Work or related field and 3+ years’ experience working in a community based social service agency;

  • Experience working with families with minor children;

  • Experience working with benefits eligibility screening and application (General Assistance, Social Security, Food Stamps) desired.
