2024 World AIDS Day Celebrations

World AIDS Day

Join us on December 1st for our 9 and 11 am Celebrations celebrating World AIDS Day. Join us at 330 Ellis or streaming live on Facebook and YouTube.

We will honor World AIDS Day by acknowledging the lives lost and affected by the HIV/AIDS pandemic for over four decades. Though we have made huge strides in regards to HIV/AIDS, we are still not in the clear, as many continue to be disapropriotinally affected by AIDS-related illnesses and the stimga those letters carry. Our celebrations will stand as a memorial for the beautiful souls lost too soon, and a call for our continued journey to empower those communities most affected.
Marvin K. White, our Minister of Celebration, will be leading Celebrations, lifting up and gathering our community. The Glide Ensemble, Directed by Zoë Ellis, will sing songs that soothe our hearts. The Change Band will uplift and inspire with jazz and blues.
Below, see our own Minister Marvin K. White in June 2021 exploring blocks of the AIDS Quilt created by members of the Glide community.
