With over eight years of experience practicing yoga, their approach centers on the belief that movement can be a powerful tool for liberation—especially when practiced in spaces rooted in healing and connection, capable of holding us in all our depth.
Their classes weave together asanas and breathwork, offering opportunities to explore the crevices of the body while building internal heat. These practices are accompanied by poetic and gentle guidance that fosters deep self-connection. Mikayla’s primary goal is to meet people where they are, emphasizing the profound capacity of each individual to tap into their innate awareness. How long are the classes?
Classes are generally 60 minutes long.
What style of yoga is it?
We teach all kinds of yoga! One of the wonderful things about Yoga is that we have many diverse teachers with different backgrounds. Our style can be described as “all levels” and “accessible” because we aim to make each class approachable for people with various body types and levels of experience.
What do I need to bring? You can bring your own yoga mat but we have a collection of mats and props for everyone to use, which means the only thing people need to bring is themselves in comfy clothing.
How many students generally attend?
This highly depends on the day / time of year / climate / etc. Our average class is around 5 students, we sometimes have as few as one (free private yoga session!) and sometimes as many as 15. The room could accommodate many more.
Do you have to register to attend?
The class is drop-in and completely free! To help our teachers plan, we do encourage you to sign up by emailing fmartin@glide.org.
